Triumph Motorcycles UK have finally announced the launch of their first ever limited edition “Triumph Factory Custom” (TFC) bike, the “Thruxton TFC”, as well as an upcoming model, the “Rocket TFC Concept”.
A whole new range of models are set to be launched under the new Triumph Factory Custom identity and the line-up is expected to feature some ultra-premium variants, comprised of limited edition bikes. These will have higher performance and specifications for both equipment and technology used, in comparison to the standard mainstream models. With breath-taking design-quality, exceptional component finishes and custom detailing, they are said to be the most beautiful, exclusive and desirable Triumphs ever made.
The first to launch of these limited edition TFCs, the 2019 Triumph Thruxton TFC, is a top-of-the-line variant of the Thruxton R and it has been confirmed that this is a limited edition model which will only have 750 numbered units built. One-of-a-kind premium badging - a premium plaque - will display the number as a reminder of its exclusivity!
This new model will have an upgraded version of the standard high power 1,200cc parallel twin, resulting in a 10bhp boost in power output which will take the power figure to 107bhp - aided by titanium Vance & Hines exhaust. The bike will see an overall weight reduction of 5kg, which brings the bike’s overall dry-weight to under 200kg, made possible by the new carbon fibre bodywork and aluminium engine rail. This slick-looking fairing gives the bike very smooth lines which continues down to the mud guard and side panels. The overall result? An ultra-rare never-to-be-repeated version of the Thruxton model which delivers more on every dimension.
And what about the Rocket TFC Concept? It is said to be a British engineering masterpiece with breath-taking beauty and style – and this work of art will also have a limited availability of just 750 units. It will feature an all-new triple engine which will be central to the Rocket TFC’s class-defining performance, and a three-header exhaust run will deliver a beautifully rich deep Rocket TFC growl! It will have a new chassis and exceptional brake and suspension set-up that will allow world-class precision handling – as well as cutting edge technology.
We’ll find out more on the 1st of May 2019 when the Rocket TFC is officially launched!
